Executive Master in Economics
Introduction
SRU has launched the Executive Master’s Program in Economics with three innovative and specialized tracks—the first of its kind in the Kingdom. These tracks are: 1) Behavioral Economics, 2) Digital Economics, and 3) Health Economics. The program aims to advance academic leadership, meet market demands, and contribute to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in developing human capabilities and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi citizens.

The Behavioral Economics track is a modern and significant field that integrates economics with psychology and sociology. It contributes to explaining economic behavior, promoting rational spending, and maximizing utility. With growing global interest in this discipline, hundreds of centers and companies have been established to apply its principles in supporting government policies and various sectors through qualified professionals capable of creating tangible intellectual and economic impact.
-Strengthening integration with other fields and disciplines by incorporating concepts from psychology, neuroscience, sociology, economics, and related areas.

It combines economic analysis with advanced technology to understand the digital transformation of markets and to study consumer behavior in light of contemporary economic trends. This discipline contributes to explaining global productivity and competitiveness, building platform-based economies, and overcoming traditional production constraints. The program focuses on developing human capital capable of engaging with digital developments, accurately analyzing economic data, and formulating policies and regulations that support economic growth in the digital era.

It is also gaining growing global attention, with over 70 leading universities offering it as part of their master’s programs.
