Sulaiman Al Rajhi University Celebrates Founding Day

Sulaiman Al Rajhi University celebrated the Saudi Founding Day with great pride and joy. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Muheimid, the university’s president, and was attended by vice presidents, deans, faculty members, and staff at the main building’s foyer. The festivities included an exhibition titled “Saudi Founding Day,” in which a group of university students participated, showcasing the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The exhibition featured various booths that highlighted essential and historical aspects related to the glory, achievements, and heritage of Saudi Arabia. It commenced with a booth dedicated to the emblem of the founding, where its significance was explored, and concluded with the story of the glory of Ad Diriyah, the first capital of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the exhibition included several other booths, such as the traditional market and heritage artifacts, the hospitality corner with Saudi coffee, visual art displays, and a horse parade. In his speech during the celebration, Dr. Al Muheimid emphasized the significance of the Saudi Founding Day, as it allows us to remember the sacrifices of our ancestors and draw inspiration from their achievements. He reaffirmed our commitment to follow in their footsteps in building a prosperous future for our nation. The Founding Day is a day of pride for our country, celebrating its accomplishments and looking forward to a bright future. He called upon everyone to make this day an occasion to strengthen our national unity, reaffirm our steadfast values, and work together to build a better future for our country and the coming generations. On another note, Dr. Wasan bint Abdullah Al Khwaiter, the deputy for the female section, inaugurated the accompanying exhibition for the Saudi Founding Day event in the female section. The exhibition included various booths, ranging from visual art displays and educational videos about the kings of Saudi Arabia and historical regions to Saudi coffee and traditional cuisine.
