About the Office

The Data Management and Governance Office was established to be responsible for facilitating and coordinating data management and governance efforts, protecting personal data, as well as designing, developing, and updating the university’s data management strategic plan. This is achieved by complying with national and international policies and standards, aiming to meet the needs of the university and its members in the best possible way, maximizing the value of data, enabling informed decision-making, and providing advanced data analytics.

Data Management and Governance Program

Data Governance

Implementing data governance policies, standards, and controls through the establishment and activation of the Data Office to enhance data management practices, improve data quality and reliability, and develop the operational model in alignment with the requirements of the National Data Management Office (NDMO).

Data Structuring and Quality

Understanding and documenting data requirements, entities, and relationships across core systems by identifying data assets and business needs to improve data quality, support the issuance of reports, analyses, and insights, and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.

Data Management Platform

Developing a centralized platform that enables the university to collect, process, manage, and analyze data while monitoring and enhancing its quality through the automation of data management and governance processes, implementing business intelligence use cases, and issuing reports and performance indicators to support decision-making.

Operations

Operating the Data Management and Governance Office to ensure compliance with the requirements of the National Data Management Office by managing the data platform and technical tools, providing qualified personnel to activate the platform, and developing data use cases to enhance operational efficiency.
