The Sulaiman Bin Abdul Aziz Rajhi Charitable Foundation will establish in Qassim region of the Saudi Arabia, a state-of-the-art Health Sciences University. The project of Medical, Nursing and Applied Medical Sciences Colleges with a University Hospital is envisaged to further improve the health sciences education, patient care and biomedical research to match the international standards. The colleges and the hospital are conceived as “Islands of Excellence” to keep pace with the knowledge explosion, technological advances and scientific breakthroughs.
Health Sciences Education
The main objectives of the technical education and vocational training, as stated in the ‘Education Policy Act of KSA’ is to satisfy the needs of the country, devoted and well trained work force in all the sectors of industry. The Act also includes urging all the concerned bodies to encourage students to join technical institutes and provide employment incentive for their graduates.

The aim of higher education is to produce the specialized cadres of manpower required for development. The culture of the Saudi society is based on Islam as a faith and a way of life. Islam refines human behavior and thought. Such Islamic principles have been reflected by the higher education objectives. The higher education is designed to satisfy the social, economic and cultural objectives, and to meet the present and future needs of the country’s development programs. The objective is to prepare intellectually and scientifically qualified citizens capable of serving their country and developing their nation in the light and principles of Islamic faith.
