Educating the next generation of health care professionals
The Al-Rajhi University will provide educational programs that prepare tomorrow's health care professionals, biomedical scientists and academics. Through its three colleges, and numerous continuing education programs, the university seeks to promote lifelong learning among its students while instilling a commitment to serve the communities where they live and work.
Education tailored to KSA
The health sciences education will focus on responsiveness - creating programs that help meet the needs of the state and its citizens. The university will continually assess health care shortages in every area of the state and then develops curricula and policies designed to improve the geographic distribution of health care professionals. The University will strive to train health care providers in the specialties most in demand throughout KSA and inspire future clinicians to practice in those geographic areas where their skills will be needed most.
Our educational mission goes beyond health sciences to include technology education - a natural interface with biological science in today's increasingly high-tech world. Combining expertise in biomedicine and health science with excellence in computer science, our faculty will prepare today's students for vibrant careers that will ultimately serve one goal: to improve the well-being of KSA.
Students will learn in a variety of training environments beyond the traditional lecture hall – Problem Based Learning, a patient's bedside, side-by-side with a preeminent researcher in the laboratory, alongside a stream in rural Qassim. Wherever possible, University will give students opportunities to work with both rural and urban settings, planting a seed for future dedication to community service.
The university education encompasses a range of undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare practitioners for roles that complement physicians, nurses and other health care specialists.
