The interactive 3rd International Winter Course in Problem-Based Learning in Medicine, Health and Behavioural Sciences aims to inform participants about all aspects of PBL and to share with them the many years of practical experience with PBL as implemented in the medical education programme.

Experience with PBL was built at the Maastricht Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences and the MaastrichtFaculty of Psychology. More recently new PBL curricula were introduced at Nijmegen University Medical Centre as well.

The course aims to inform you on all aspects of problem-based learning (PBL) as implemented in basic and continuing education at Maastricht University. You will share your problems with 'experts' in the field of PBL and relatedinnovative approaches and to discuss with staff on their experiences with respect to the PBL approach.

The 3rd International Winter Course in Problem-Based Learning is not only about education, it is also about meeting other people. There are not manyopportunities in life to collaboratively work for a number of days with such a broad mix of professionals.

Course participants

Who can attend

Deans of faculty of medicine in Saudi Arabia as well as of Arab Gulf States, educators from the health sector, teachers from medical institutions  and researchers would hugely benefit from this course.

Certification

All participants in the workshop will receive a certificate of appreciation and attendance  (30 hours) accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
